Description
This medium bodied wine is the parent grape of both Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. Cabernet Franc has proven to be quite vigorous and produce award-winning wines across the globe due to its diversity of tastes, which is mainly dependent on the climate. Although the grape originates from France, in South Africa it predominantly features in Stellenbosch, Paarl and the Swartland. With its mesmerizing bright red colour, elements of herbaceous, chalky, and dusty road are evident on the nose. The Saartjie Cabernet Franc is furthermore characterized with hints of cherries and peppercorn on the palate.
